Microsoft's Service Health Status updates indicate that the root cause was "a configuration change in a segment of our Azure backend workloads." This modification caused interruptions between storage and compute resources, resulting in connectivity failures that have affected "downstream and dependent Microsoft 365 services."

CrowdStrike Engineering, collaborating with Microsoft, has identified the content deployment as the source of the problem and has reversed the changes.

Steps to Resolve the Issue for Windows Users:

1. Boot into Safe Mode or the Windows Recovery Environment.
2. Go to the directory C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike.
3. Find and delete the file named C-00000291*.sys.
4. Restart your computer as usual.
